Zenith Oil and Gas should be furnished with recorded documentation anytime an owner’s interest changes. To ensure that interests are transferred in a timely manner, please furnish our office with the applicable documentation filed in the county where your property is located. Documents may be submitted:

• Conveyance: Copy of the Assignment, Bill of Sale or Deed conveying the interest.
• Trust: Copy of the Trust Agreement which states the interest as a part of the Trust, or a copy of the documentation transferring the interest into the Trust and a copy of the documentation appointing the Trustee.
• Division Orders to the Estate: Letters Testamentary or other pertinent documentation appointing an estate representative, as well as a copy of the Death Certificate.
• Division Orders to Beneficiaries – Probated Will: Order admitting the Will to Probate and a copy of the Will.
• Division Orders to Beneficiaries – Will has not been probated: Will, Death Certificate, Affidavit of Heirship**.
• Division Orders to Beneficiaries – no Will: Death Certificate, Affidavit of Heirship**.

** The Affidavit of Heirship should be signed by two impartial parties who are familiar with the descendant. Neither affiant should be a member of the descendant’s family. The Affidavit of Heirship should address the family and marital history of the descendant; it should further include statements regarding where the descendant left a Will, and stating that all debts and taxes have been paid.
